I’m decidedly awful at predicting what will make me happy. If I have high expectations for something, it usually fails. The unexceptional stuff makes me the happiest. People around a table. Good views. An empty afternoon. I guess that means that you focus on the end of happiness, rather than the means.

Great quote. I, too, suffer from the failing at something when I have too high of expectations for it. I can’t seem to shake that, and have no idea why it happens.
